So you get about a 20 mile range on 4000mAh 12S? Also, do you need a BEC to drive the servo tester for throttle, or do you use a separate pack? Thanks

The initial reduction is belt - from the drive unit to the rear wheel is chain.

Ok.. Just so i'm clear.. I have an eZip, it does about 18mph stock... with its 24v battery.. but I have heard there is a governor on the controller? so what if i just do a direct wire from the batter to the motor? Won't that give me some more speed and power but not burn out the motor? Also, could u email me and let me know what mod you did exactly to this bike above, thanks!

My eZip (stock controller/motor) ran great with two standard Currie batteries in series - 48v. I somewhat babied the bike at this higher voltage.

At 10+ miles I had pulled about 2/3 of the true capacity of the battery. At 44.4v, same distance, I've used a bit less than 1/2 capacity.
