ah nice until I seen the coaching on the 12 o'clock tail. I much prefer the traditional set versus the high standing 12 o'clock tail position.

I have used this pole in nearly all my training of pups. I use many other training proceedures as well. This dog has become one of the best dogs anyone could imagine. He is a wonderful addition to my Kennels some phots are on my web page at Grouse Mountain Setters.

The pole is enough flex to allow the chukar to not have a sudden stop at the end of the line which usually dislocates or injures the chukar. The chukar unharmed can be used over and over to help reduce the number of birds you may need. This pole also alows the chukar to lift really high in flight and it can fly in a 360 radius. You can make the line which ever length you need for your space. If you use 15' cord then it can fly 30' radius. Rebar stake driven in ground with pVC slid over it.

Hand position helps in getting the proper tail position in the upward position and pushing forward helps in staunchness on point by the dog still trying to maintaine point eventhough you are encouraging it forward. This is a technic used by various trainers and recommended in several dog training books that date back to the 60's and still in print.

excellent point, great dogs. I'm not too sure about hte trainer's hand placement though. Kinda wierd
