....just kidding, yes I am :P


I will probably do a texture mod on Oblivion or Morrowind with them. Not sure yet.

Also I havent ever used textures this big in a real time rendering enviroment.

Each of them are well over 15mb big, and if you're adding bump and reflective maps you're getting about 80mb per texture.

This of course requires a massive ammount of GPU memory.
Soon one of the fastest real time rendering (gaming) cards will be the GTX 280, wich comes with 1GB of memory. I rather doubt this could handle a game using uncompressed Arroway textures in a decent resolution...

i 'm waiting for the shop to open where i bought it, as the guy there is quite familiar with my machine. for some reason, it keeps restarting. so right now, i'm on my 2nd comp. i didnt even get a chance to try the ram, as i am still on warranty, and this is a weird issue. anywayz, i'll let you know if things look up.

Hmm, yea could be a lot of things, it might need a bios update if you have recently changed some of the hardware and the issue has started to show up ever since. It could even be software related. Even a simple batch command can do that. Takes 5 sec to write such a script, so the internet is quiet full with it....

Yea get the store to fix it as long as you have warranty. But make sure you ask what actually happend, to avoid it in the future.

Did you lower the RAM timings yet ? How did that go ?
