http://www.southern-energy.com - Power Flower is a 22-foot tall interactive installation at Marbles Kids Museum that's designed to teach children how solar power works. The entire metal structure rotates all the way around and the flowerhead at the top spins faster or slower, depending on which way its solar panel "leaves" are facing.
This unique project was a partnership between Marbles Kids Museum, SEM and Clearscapes, a Raleigh-based architecture firm. Progress Energy also deserves a big thanks for sponsoring the project. We are extremely proud of the collaborative effort that went into this, and could not be happier with the final product.
