  • heya, just wondering what program are you using for your image processing/

  • Hi,

Thanks for the feedback :) For that test I was using Matlab + simple background subtraction using the Otsu thresholding method. Then PCA gets you the centroid of the object. In future, we will be using a more robust background subtraction technique hopefully.

You've got some nice videos up... what have you been using and what's your project about? :)

  • I would imagine the point is to make it able to locate objects, obviously the next step is to have it pick them up automatically..

  • What I meant previously ....for the robotic arm to move to the CENTROID with respect to your camera! Thanks

  • @Rapperonstreet about 20.000 € if I`m not wrong.

  • How much cost that ? thanks

  • Pls I am doing something similar to this. Can you please tell me how you calculated the servo angles for the robotic arm to move?? I am also using Matlab. Thanks

  • What kind of interface are you using to control the robot with that webcam?

  • what kind of motors

  • hahaha, well hmm. lets take a look at things from a resonable viewpoint.

if you had a robotic arm. that could point to shit. with a cam.

    WOULDENT YOU BE FUCKING STOKED!

  • can it grab things??

it has a claw!! this is boring

  • i could imagine a giant one in you r bed room that locates all of the objects that arent supposed to be there, and then throws them out the window

  • I think it could be handy for disabled people who can't retrieve something if they've dropped it.
