wow she looks so young here, i do love her voice, i just watched her perform dido's lament, i don't know wheather that piece just isn't as suitable for her as this haendel piece or if she's lost some power over the years but this is incomparable

one Christmas season I happened to catch a full program of the Ancient Academy of Singers. I think this is from that show. I was captivated.
I remember thinking 'I didn't know the human voice was a capable of doing that' thing she does about 1:30 into the vid.
And I got no education in music.
