ABBA Chiquitita is one of my all time favorite ABBA songs. My son requested it, as he used to play it on the piano when he was a youngster!

My Mom and I have a very different relationship. Since my brother passed away when I was 12 she became very sad and distant. Now I'm a mother and have my own trials and tribulations. Since then I am not "close" with my Mom but I have always been the one she can count on for anything. She overcame alcoholism and an abusive relationship all with me right beside her. One day when I was feeling like I couldn't go anymore, she sent me a link to this song. I didn't need her words, this was enough.

Oh no, don't cry!! It is the cycle that makes life keep going. I don't cry when I hear it now, I simply remind myself that there are many reasons still to smile. Music is powerful and it can HEAL us. Sometimes we depend too much on others when in fact all the answers and salvation is indeed inside ourselves. <3
