Here's just a snippet of animator Richard Williams speaking with John Canemaker at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (September 22, 2008). Here he points out animators Tissa David & Michael Sporn in the audience & talks a bit about his film "Raggedy Ann & Andy" & animator Emery Hawkins.

I apologize for the poor sound & picture quality. I did the best I could!

  • "The Thief and the Cobbler" NEEDS an official restoration and re-release. The whole modern world of animation owes it to Richard Williams.

  • Nice to hear Richard discussing these things in his own words. I sorely wish they'd re-release Raggedy Ann and let him do a commentary track. Maybe someday, he'll open up about "Thief and the Cobbler", too. Not likely either way, but oh well....
