A better question is, why were men crashing planes into buildings? Why are we involving ourselves in the mid-east when we have the resources to be energy independent? What did we think was going to happen when we kept on killing people in the mid-east while these terrorists warned us of their intent? Answer those questions before asking about God. Critizing God for the actions of men is the height of arrogance and stupidity.
