Brian's approach is refreshingly different - well done. Nothing like hard experience, and applying some imagination as to what does work.  When I was in the Met 55 years ago, so much emphasis was placed on co-operation with the public.

@Braithwaite1922 they did! but like i said the ones in charge who make the final decision (clegg and his cronies) supported it. just because the lib dems who opposed werent able to stop it doesnt mean they didnt try. with so many issues in politics recently (NHS bill for example) there has been discontent within the party but the leader still pushed it through because they have the power.

@Braithwaite1922 not all Lib Dems are "liars" and not all were supportive of the tuition fees rise. more right wing members like clegg hold most of the power within the party so what they say goes. many Lib Dems were against the rise and resisted. im a student whose gonna be affected by the rise, and i think the worst thing thats happened is everyone blaming the Lib Dems rather than the Conservatives. the Lib Dems are a scapegoat! dont fall for it!
