I would def watch a show with a plusize detective it would make TV alittle more intresting you always see skinny women in a strong lead role it's time to show different shapes and sizes whether it be big or small to show everyone that they can be a leading lady

Naturally, a plus size detective could do any of the other things that a regular detective could; the only thing that would be significantly different is that she would be plus-size, and as below, that could work in her favor.

For one thing, she'd be able to use more powerful guns, and any hand-to-hand maneuvers would benefit from her having a bit extra (she'd be able to take down bigger opponents with less effort than a lightweight generic detective).
She'd be able to concealed-carry more easily, and as a plainsclothes, fewer bad guys would expect her to be a BAMF. And fewer people (witnesses, etc) would expect her to be a BA interrogator/detective, giving her the element of surprise.

What situation could a Plus Detective Handle better than a normal detective?
Easy, she could approach the guy and interrogate him better. He'd be so overwhelmed by her presence and looks, he'd be helpless.
She could fight or outsmart bad guys just as well as a skinny hot chick.
She's have a lot to say, and be good at research in either talking to informants or focusing on finding old documents.
Heather Wells is a good detective in Meg Cabot's series.
