While I admire the effort that went into such a large production, I don't like the idea of doing solo pieces in a group.
Part of what makes the solos great (i.e. On My Own) is the emotion that the individual actor puts into song. Doing them in a group requires doing everything on a set beat... and it sounds like someone reciting from memory instead of a character expressing emotion.
I think this might have been much more impressive with select soloists, with the group joining where needed.

they didn't sell this on dvd, there was only a sound recording distributed to those who paid for it last year. i don't think you can get them anymore, but you could always just find someone who already has it and make a copy of it. the cd is really great quality =)
