  • I'm growing gourds for the first time this year also. Mine are "Crafters' Gourds - Bottles, Dippers & Bowls" from Renee's Garden. And I see you're growing Purple Queen and Amaranth, I'm trying those this year as well!

I saw the same shelving unit at our Big Lots and couldn't decide if it was sturdy or not. Let me know what it's like please?

Your garden area is looking so busy already...I'm a little jealous! Love that background music!!

  • @chikkagrl I just assembled the little greenhouse. It's kinda cheesy but I think will be ok. I was pushing down the last end piece and broke it. Got out the duck tape and fixed it up. It will be okay because that one won't be hold and weight. I have put it in my little computer room to keep the plants warm for now. I think it's still a touch to cold. It fits perfect in a little corner. They have 2 sizes and I got the bigger of the 2. It was the last one. 27x10x63 or so.

  • @FreidasGarden Also, I'm going to get some more I think although that a whole new hobby! lol

  • @FreidasGarden Gourds I mean.

  • I can here birds in the back ground! Those are big popcicle sticks you are useing as markers?

Everythings looking real good, thanks for sharing! Paul

  • @nandpclement Those are tongue depressors that I got at the .99 store. They also have them at a drug store. Thanks Paul.

  • @FreidasGarden I'm growing them as a cover for my fence. I also want to try my hand at making dippers and spoons out of them....we'll see!

  • @FreidasGarden I had to make a trip to Big Lots today! Bought myself a little greenhouse like yours. Yep, it's kinda cheesy, but for $30 it will be nice for short time use of "hardening off" my seedlings as I take them outside. I just love your videos! You seem to be having so much fun, which is why I LOVE gardening and growing things! Have a great day!

  • @FreidasGarden The foliage still looked like it had life in it. I think you have done what I would do . Just lightly covering them with soil then if they grow keep adding soil until you get almost to the top of the container. Potatoes really want to grow, you can even plant peelings and they will produce potatoes.

  • @dalecalder2003 I remember frozen! Do you think my potatoes will produce? Got any tips?

  • @Thesmalltowngardener Thank you! I think I'm obsessed! lol

  • @emsapowell Those are lots and lots of wine bottles. All my friends keep dropping them off. I don't drink that much! lol They make great borders and keep the warmth in the bed.
