Genius! The original lasted 100 days, just out of warranty. Only 3 minutes to fix. So far so good after 5 sufficently bass drum intensive songs. I don't care if it breaks again. Hair Clips are cheap!

Thought I would add an update... I'm still using the original hair clip seen in this video. I play with my heel up and I am by no means nice to the pedal. Still going strong. ;)

There were two very large very obvious screws on top where the tips of your toes touch... at least on my pedal. I think there might be slightly different versions of this pedal out there.

Everything you see there was already there on my pedal. The pedal itself is actually supposed to be a high hat pedal, but Ion uses it as a kick pedal. Go figure.
