Im glad your proud of your fellow brother. But I think that it shouldn't matter what race a candidate for president is. Race should never be an issue. So to want Obama to win because he is black (well half black) is racism. He should be judged on his ideas and political positions SOLEY and the fact that you attribute him being black somehow makes the world better I find scarey and racist.

Yes there is pride and shock that a black man may become POTUS in our lifetime, but I specifically said "IT'S NOT ABOUT THIS SIDE OR THAT ONE/ WHITE ONE OR BLACK ONE/ YOUNG, OLD, WOMAN, MAN/ DEMOCRAT, REPUBLICAN/ ONLY US AMERICANS...". Anyone who votes soley based on race doesn't deserve a ballot IMHO. What is your criterion?

@SputnikMedia couldn't have said it better. a lot of people were more worried about making history than anything else. a lot of those people were smart enough to come up with other reasons why they "'should'" vote for obama even though at the heart of their desire to have him was to simply put the first black man in the white house and less concerned with if it was the right one.

If every vote counted George Bush wouldn't have won the 2000 election. He lost the popular vote which is OUR votes, the citizens votes...Our votes don't count for shit. Electoral chooses the President and everyone says the electoral votes the same way the people do, but if that were true then why did it not work that way in 2000?
