  • @wraith168 Fair enough. I'm working on pure speculation ... I'm not arrogant (or religious) enough to pretend I can see the future.

  • @TheGreatGohs Or it is someone that realizes that given all the crap in the world it just doesn't jive with the idea of this loving, all powerful, all knowing being. Unless this god comes down and meets with the thinking atheist face to face, i don't think you will see a change back.

  • I have always been skeptical of religious people who say they once truly believed in the magic of religion but now no longer believe. The Thinking Atheist said he began questioning his occultism because bad and seemingly unexplainable things happened. This smacks more of a Christian angry with his god than someone who simply realizes magic is pure mythology. I wouldn't be shocked if TTA had a miraculous reversion at some point in this life.

  • @runwithtruth There is loads of murder in the bible, mostly committed by god. Men having sex with there daughters. Adam and eve not having daughters so how can they have poulated the world also it would of been incest. I am glad you see that religion is bad but that was the goal of the bible. To get followers. Scholars agree that the bible was reworked loads when being translated to suit its agenda. Christianity originaly was not a monotheistic religion. God had a wife. I hope you wake up.

  • @runwithtruth They believe its ridiculous claims but dont follow every rule from god and there is hundreds. They dont even follow all of the main ten. Most cannot even name them all. The first four are about god because he is pety and jealous and full of pride. he is the hypocrite too. People say where can you get your morals if you are an atheist. Well if you believed the bible shall we stone unruly youths to death? kill people for working on the sabbath? Where is the laws of peadophilia? None.

  • @runwithtruth So i dont imagine a god. If there was an all powerful god he is evil. I guess thats some evidence for the god of the bible, this world has so much suffering because thats what the christian god loves.Jesus dying for our sins.A god sending his son which is himself to earth to die for humans sins which were made in gods image, it is a ridiculous story that god had to send himself to die for our sins.Christians are hypocrits.Even the fundamentalist. They believe it all but dont follow.

  • @runwithtruth The god of the bible is a pety vindictive and jealous demon. The devil kills a handful of people and god kills hundreds of thousands. God sanctions slavery and beating them aslong as they dont die within two days of the beating. He also says that if a man rapes a woman that the rapist has to then pay the father for the ruined valueless daughter. So she gets raped and has to spend her life with her rapist.God even commands a man to cook with human shit and the man asks for cow shit.

  • @runwithtruth (4) So many translations, so many edits to suit the churches agenda. The bible was never a book per se. It was a literature from a vast stretch of time. So many writings with the same stories not being chosen to be in the "bible" simply because it didnt carry the churches agenda. So many writings that contadic the bible and tell different stories. The gospels all contradict eachother, we dont know who wrote them and the new testament was written ages after jesus's supposed death.

  • @runwithtruth What might HE look like to you? emphasis on the he. The biblical is a construct. It might have honest origins but the church has used it oer time to control people. I dare say the the new testament and the story of jesus was created to apologise for the old testament in a world that was becoming less barbaric. There is many reasons to believe jesus did not exist. For one Nazareth did not exist around the time of jesus. The bible has been changed so much over time.

  • @runwithtruth (3) The earth being billions of years old and evolution on the other hand i know to be facts. There is just too much evidence to question it. The smartest people in the world have no qualms and the only people apposing them is people with religious agenda. The amount of evidence for evolution is astonishing. You really do have to turn off your brain and tell yourself that all these scientists are lying. We are animals. We are apes. We have a fish for an ancestor. Mad but true.
