  • Or you could buy the CD and actually support the artist in order for a follow-up album to be possible :)

  • @ExploderMuffins

That's the "melodic" part in melodic death metal.

  • Not really understanding the poppy music in the background.

  • I don't want to like this, for fear of disturbing the 666 likes it has right now...

  • Makes me so proud to be a Melbournian! Aussie melodeath \../

  • @metalguitarZomg2 You just said yourself why it doesn't need keyboard: it's part of what makes the "melodic" part.

  • @KFCZombie Orpheus get significantly more than that per CD sale. What you're talking about archaic major label deals which hold absolutely no relevance to 99% of modern bands. Even in the cases where the split is bad, it's still what covers the band's original advance, and gives incentive to the label not to drop them. Also, it's not usually the bands that leak their own albums on media sharing sites. It's people who have the false impression that those CDs are public domain.

  • @SystematicAudio going to see them live would support the artist, actually...not saying buuying the album is bad...but the majority of the money goes towards the label and the artist sees like 50 cents of each cd sale...so all in all there isnt a HUGE benefit in paying for the cd. Why else would most bands post their albums purposefully on media sharing sites in order to gain popularity?

  • really good!
