Automatic Rigging and Animation. For this to work, it requires a closed and connected mesh. It also must be manifold (a manifold mesh has two FACES for each EDGE. ie. a cube or triangle meets these requirements). There is a DemoUI available which uses the Windows command line; also available for Linux. Google it for more information.

There is an auto-weighting script for Maya which attaches a joint skeleton to a poly mesh skin. It uses the same algorithms as Pinocchio. Google, PM_heatWeight for more information.

When I tested PM_heatWeight in Maya 2011 using Windows 7, there was an error in the python script. Yes, it uses a python script and not a MEL script. The script kinda bugged out when trying to determine which operating system it was running on. My guess is that it would probably take a little bit of debugging, then Bob's your uncle.

If anyone gets it to work, then please let me know. Oh yeah, and:

"Any public use of the meshes must be accompanied with an attribution that states that the meshes were initially created using Cosmic Blobs® software developed by Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp."
