Susan Salvo, author, instructor, and massage therapist, explains and demonstrates a series of table stretches and joint mobilizations called Swedish gymnastics. These simple but effective movements help improve range of motion, flexibility, and reduce pain.

About the attire we shot this during student clinic, so Susan was in supervisor rather than therapist mode.

  • Thank you for your compliments. I love massage and massage education. Best wishes to you and your students!!!

  • Thanks Masajista. I hope to post something soon!!!

  • I'm learning a lot from your videos, you are an outstanding teaching, and I love your techniques. This is a very good video, thank you. I have a client who has an ankle fixated, he broke it years ago, any suggestions about how to work his legs?

  • @Rosibel79 Wish I knew more about this health to give an opinion. Deep circular friction around the most restricted areas might be a good option - hard to say.

  • is this woman actually alive!

  • I practice massage in Indiana and I am looking for some suggestions to give. My clients come with ub, neck and lb pain.

  • I am a massage therapist and instructor, and the school I teach at uses the Mosby's Fundamentals of Therapeutic Massage. I have tried teaching from it, but I find it is dense reading and frequently uses terminology and concepts in the elementary sections which it doesn't clearly explain. Instead, I use the Salvo Massage Therapy Principles and Practice textbook, which find much clearer and better laid out. Just wanted to thank you, and I also enjoyed the video!

  • isnt that table a little low?

  • I absolutely love the way you teach...do you offer CEU classes that you instruct?
