Iron Maiden to Tour in 2012 says McBrain! - Aerosmith New CD and Tour in 2012 says Perry!

96.7 KCAL Rocks spoke with IRON MAIDEN drummer Nicko McBrain at the 2012 NAMM convention which took place January 19-22 in Anaheim, California.

When asked about the current status of the band McBrain answered: "We're taking some time off and we're gonna go back out on tour sometime this year. We're not sure yet when. It's in the words of a very famous British singer from the Second World War called VERA LYNN. And she had a song and it went something like, 'We'll meet again. Don't know where. Don't know when.' So that's in the line of Vera Lynn. We're doing a Vera Lynn. We don't know where, we don't know when. Iron Maiden is touring sometime this year, yeah. I don't think it will be a world tour. Next year, maybe. But this year, it's just gonna be a little tour; short run, short and swift."


AEROSMITH guitarist Joe Perry spoke with Darryl Sterdan from the QMI Agency about the band's first studio album in seven years, and touring this summer.

Joe commented: "We're in the middle of a bunch of stuff," says the 60-year-old rocker from a Hollywood hotel. "I'm out here finishing up the Aerosmith record that we started last summer. Hopefully we'll have it done in the next month or so. And we're definitely touring this summer. We're gonna put tickets on sale in February or March and we're going on the road in June. Everybody's lined up. We're ready."

BOTH AWESOME STORIES! And I don't care what anyone says; I don't think Aerosmith sold out. I think fanboys just got a little too butthurt when they decided to make their sound a little more polished.
