The reason Drew sang the concerts is that he is the original singing voice of Troy Bolton in HSM1. That's because Zac is a baritone, but the songs were already written for a tenor voice. Therefore, Zac only sings two lines (the beginning of "Start of something new" and the beginning of "Breaking free") in the first movie. In the other two movies the songs were written for a baritone voice, as they were written after Zac was casted, obviously, so he could sing them himself.

guys i'm not trying to be rude, but don't u think that zac doesn't sing in hsm or any film i mean it's not his voice, he doesn't even go to the concerts...
