@rbt4rbt he's not going to slit your throat just because you're talking about getting your wallet out or that you have more money to give him, because youre more valuable to him alive.
-
@Shuukyou It won't matter, because as you gave him time by talking to him, he slit your throat. And that would be tragic, because you are very kind, patient and considerate. Qualities you don't see much in Youtube land.
-
@rbt4rbt intriguing, but if we go to the multiple assailant scenario, attacking immediately without thinking will make you miss important things you should've noticed like guns, knives etc.
-
@Shuukyou Granted, what goes through the mind of a crook is not known for the moment, and talking MAY give you some advantage. What is right for one instance may not be right for all. I'll admit, I just don't know what is "exactly" right, but for me, I will attack fast because I know reaction times and I want to attack the SOB. Also, I would think AHEAD of time of doing something before a person could ever put a knife to my throat. Again, what is "right" or what are the odds? Peace to you.

@rbt4rbt if the crook was going to cut you he wouldve done it already, but he starts talking and demanding the money first. money is his primary goal, not hurting you. he believes he's in control and because youre talking about giving him money he's not going to think youre actually going to do something. you sure you're almost 60?
-
@Shuukyou That's assuming the crook does not start cutting as you're wasting time talking. For me, I don't like being at the "mercy" of someone else. I'd much rather be the merciless one.
-
@rbt4rbt what if there are multiple guys? the talking gives you time to make a plan and scope out the situation.
-
Come on, like I'm going to talk and wait that long with a knife to my throat?! BS, if you understand reaction times and body movement times, you/d have not waited that long to take action. I like Dimitri, but some stuff is old.

@goldeneyeselfdefense Thanks for the offer and good luck with your martial art, I have removed my comment as it was out of line. Clearly you believe in what you teach, so don't worry about me, and have fun training!

@thechewboxlive Point taken. You guys teach what you want to teach, it's your martial art after all. Feel free to remove my comments.
