As two green lovers burning for each other

Breath and skin on fire, hearts pounding like thunder,
bodies drawn by the moon and lure of its glow
Gleaming star filled eyes, conversations till sunrise,
turning on records, and swaying real slow.

But shadows grow long and time feeds the hunger
to feel the lightning strike once more

now we hold each other like we're letting go.

Rheumy shipwrecked eyes, tattered blue
were stars that flickered for the little things
Unsheathe your frozen heart from its winter coat
Stir the spirit of a sleeping summer dream

to ride the lightning once more

Shadows embrace, twisted in knots
