  • how long will it keep? how long will it keep if i vaccum seal it and add an oxygen absorber

  • @satansmusic2009 That depends on your definition of what is acceptable. It won't poison you when it gets old. But there will be some loss of quality. So it depends on how much staleness you will tolerate in your granola. It also depends on the temperature you keep it at. So many variables. If kept as you say in a cool place out of light it should keep at least a year. It will keep much longer if you don't mind stale granola. Mine doesn't stay around long enough to find out how long it will keep.

  • Hi Doc, is there a way to turn that finished granola into bar form??? Thanks. J-WI.

  • @backwoodsminuteman Yes you can make granola bars out of it, but I don't have the recipe.

  • Does it have to be coconut?

  • @TheJORPR777 Coconut is optional

  • I make almost the identical granola. I always add a little wheat germ, sesame seed and a few tablespoons of powdered milk. Your granola looked good but your perfectly clean stove was beautiful!
