Driving home, stereo blaring Lady Gaga, Airport Way, Fairbanks, 22 February 2011. 0446. We got like two feet of snow in 24 hours. The initial alert from the National Weather Service was to expect three to five inches. I thought, "Well, that ain't shit." Surprise! The snow on the passenger side is almost as high as the top of the Mazda. A kingdom of snow! And no, that wasn't a red light, that one was pink. I don't stop with that timing when the roads are slick. Better to hit the accelerator than slide to a stop in an intersection.
