Decade of Death 3 - Dawn of War

Part Three of Three, the final chapter (be sure to see the trailer, part 1 and 2). 1999 saw the biggest clash of online FPSs ever witnessed: Quake 3: Arena, and Unreal Tournament. Never since have two groups been so adversely divided between the two. 2000 was a quiet year, and brought us No One Lives Forever. 2001 was the year of going old-skool, with Serious Sam bringing a long forgotten style of man against the masses gameplay, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein, the sequel/remake to the granddaddy of them all, Wolfenstein 3D. Finishing the tribute in 2002 is the forerunner of grand-scale war FPSs, Battlefield 1942.

Assuming this file is still around, look for the next installment in 2013. With DOOM 3, Half Life 2, Far Cry, F.E.A.R., and many more already out, We'll have my work cut out for us. Better start now.

Dawn of War the game? Nothing. Just a fitting title, I felt, since this part of the series starts with the two games that brought online warfare to the masses, in a FPS kind of way (and they made it easy). Furthermore, the two games (Q3A and UT) warred against each other for honors.

Thank you for watching all 3 videos, and understanding what I was going for. Generally speaking, I was mostly tagging the #1 FPS games of each year, but some years required more coverage (IE, 99, when both UT and Q3A came out).

I'm far too excited for Serious Sam 3. Sam is one of the most greatest game characters of all time. Serious Sam 3 will resurrect run n' gun awesomeness. It will destroy Modern Whorecare 2 in many ways.
