@k2highto Originally, Seperation of church and state was created so that the GOV'T didnt have the authority to force you into a specific church or religion. this country was founded on CHRISTIAN values. our forefathers would be turning in their graves at the idea of gay marriage. (nothing against gays, just my view). now that christian ideas are out the window, ANYTHING resembling christianity is being torn from any federal grounds. (i.e, courts, some memorials, and schools, to name a few)

@k2highto This country was founded on the idea of economic freedom, not on some arbitrary notion of fairness that will be determined by government bureaucrats. Liberal economic philosophy is rooted in the idea that the "pie" is of a fixed volume, and that the success of one must therefore equate to the loss of another. If one man is fat, he must by necessity cause another to be thin. The truth is that the economy is as big as we make it. Read "Wealth of Nations", and "The Road to Serfdom".

@k2highto Liberals claim to want equality at the starting line, when in fact it's the finish line that they care about. If you punish success and reward mediocrity, you'll have less of the former, and more of the latter. In a race there are winners and losers and spectators, and in a free economy there is room for all to live at a minimum comfortably, and if they have the drive and the ability, to raise up not only themselves but thousands, even hundreds of thousands of others with them.

@k2highto and thus, great conspiracies as a rule do not exist. The explanation for why the buildings fell is perfectly feasible, and given Occam's Razor, by far the likeliest scenario. I've heard all the technical questions that the truthers put forward about the temperature of jet fuel etc.. and there are explanations for all of it. The steel supports did not need to "melt" in the jet fuel fire, but rather just to be weakened structurally by the heat. I just don't have room to get more into it.

@k2highto I agree with the first part of your statement. The second part however seriously calls your sanity into question. I am formerly of naval intelligence. I have no illusions that at my position I would have been part of any large conspiracy, and that since I wasn't, it must not have happened. No, my point is that as part of the community I can see that people in intelligence are no different than anybody else. Secrets kept by dozens or hundreds of people simply are not secrets.

The POINT of my statement was to destroy the argument that the parties today now represent opposite positions than those that they held in the civil war. You should pay closer attention guy.

@k2highto You misunderstand me guy. You take my disinterest for inability, and you are mistaken. Youtube just isn't the proper format for what you're after. Normally I'd direct you to a real debate forum where I'm currently active, but not so very long ago "The Political Asylum" and myself had a falling out. Apparently it is "inciting violence" to state that we could avoid many of our problems by just killing (low level) terrorists on the battlefield rather than taking them prisoner.

It's ok for your leader to be a little weak as long as he has the advisors to do the job. But the people want romance, and Barack Obama captured people's hearts at the 2004 convention. And so far having read his books he has stuck to his guns despite campaign contributions. Which I'm sure is a motive for his push for campaign reform. Take the power out of the hands of big money and give the little guy back their Democracy.
