  • @superdave31 we don't know if he uses it in his practices, he might have done it just for fun

  • @littlejimmy12 technically Power and plyo are different in that

plyo is just speed where as power is concerned with your strength and ability to move quickly

  • plyometrics/power all the same thing, buidling in plyo's into a warm up is gr8 but done right. My atheletes are very primed before we get into any power based warm up. The benefits are to wind up the neural drive so when we ge to a big lift like a powerclean the bodies nervous system is all ready to fire, this is why I pull my hair out when i see trainers warming up clients on the treadmill for a squat which may be say 75% 1RM !!!

  • Doesn't look real. It's unnatural because a normal person's eyes aren't used to seeing someone jump that high.

    Impressive!

  • EASY

  • This is plyometrics right? i'm doing a dissertation on this stuff now looking at inoperating it into a warm-up.

  • he is a BEAST!! might not be the fastest but deffo my fav sprinter

  • The strength you have pushing off the floor in a jump can be transferred into the push you have when sprinting. It comes from the same muscles. So if you can jump out the roof its likely you are pretty fast, depending on build and structure. This part is mainly important in the blocks going into transition.

  • can i ask - when people sprint are they 'springing' off the floor or do the just push off the floor? (like is that why people like dwain practice jumps so their 'spring' is good?) thanks
