This was filmed at the Polo Run Apartments on 10/2/2009. I was driving down Davis (adjacent to Six Flags Dr.) when I saw smoke coming from the apartments. I called 911 and was the first caller to report it. After driving a little while on the phone, I decided to turn around (against the operator's suggestion). I parked in the neighborhood across the street, and as I was parking, the first firetrucks arrived on scene. I crossed over to the other side and got to see lots of sparks, a fair amount of fire, and plenty of very smelly smoke. Clearly a chemical fire since they had a very hard time putting it out. This was a carpet-cleaning van.
I spoke with the worker afterword, along with his boss. They had no idea how it started. My condolences to the white Chevy that got a little torched too, as she just bought the car!
