Hi Fran!
No country influences, but the 6th intervals in the melody are used a lot in country music, so I could understand your comment.
The rhythm is very subtly different than country. A lot of country player to try to cross over to Gypsy jazz don't get the rhythm right. Kevin is and awesome rhythm isn't he?
