Back then the place was wide open, anything goes and very laid back. Maybe a little too laid back. It was much more divided back then. C&D department was a world apart from the Fine Arts department, which was very different from Experimental Arts, Industrial Design, PhotoElectric Arts, etc. The only thing that looks the same is the woodworking department, still in the basement where it's always been.

Looks very restrictive, conservative, compared to OCA during the 70's and 80's. Good luck getting a job, maybe you should go to film school. It was really laid back from what I can remember. Lots of freaks. And - the Fine Arts department, is sadly no more. So is the Atrium, one of it's best features. Smoking pot in the ora e vaughan uditorium, yes those were the days.

@thcia From what some of my profs told me OCA from the 70/80's is a completely different beast from OCAD (University) & yeah, not going to lie... finding a job has been tough, but I know I'll end up in the design field soon. It's unfortunate that the art students are divided from the design students. I can't comment on what it's like now, hopefully the art kids & design kids are hanging out more? Not sure if you know this, but the ceramic degree has been phased out. I believe just a class or 2
