The corps must pick literature that guarantees their souvenir DVD will be in it's entirety. f Regardless of whether you want to place blame on DCI for this, the corps chose the song that DCI could not secure the rights to. So was it then DCI's fault or the corps fault for picking an inaccessible tune? That's what I thought. It is the corps fault, regardless of what they have told you :)))

@davidwantland Show was great, but its selfish to think that the members of the production are the only ones to watch. what about future generations of scouts that will be watching this video and making their decision on where to march based on the content thereof? Scputs are known for epic closers. The people in the future will have no idea how great that closer was. If a tree falls in the forest and nobody hears it, does it make a sound?

Before the season, they crafted an excellent show. Unfortunately rights to this song were simply inaccessible. I'll take 2.5 minutes of black on my dvd over having performed a sub-par production (with accessible rights) any day.

@r0nej00 Its not the corps fault. They got the rights for themselves but DCI did not get the right for them. Bot parties have to get the rights.

@r0nej00 I know they don't, I'm just saying! And it's such a hard situation because that song and ending MADE that show, which is probably why they kept it through all of the legal problems. However, you are very right on the fact that they should have figured it out way before because it does ultimately affect the customer, like you said.
