  • Wow--Thank you. One of my top ten favorite songs

  • @CowboyOld You're welcome!

  • The most beautiful instrumental version of this song I've ever heard! Thanks so much for posting it! From which of Chet's albums is this lovely tune?

  • As I recall, if memory serves, it was from "The Magic of Chet Atkins" CD.

  • I bet that God has him in Heaven playing for the Angels right now. I hope they don't get him too tired before I get there with him.

  • Sweet ....man this is so sweet.......daffyd you have some truly outstanding recorded sounds......

  • the key is F danbolub....but you can play it in any key and it will be nice.......

  • @whitt702 It was written by Fred Rose and recorded in 45' by Roy Acuff, then it was recorded by Hank Williams in the 50's and then Willie :)

  • what key is he playing in

  • It was written by Fred Rose and originally recorded in 1945 by Roy Acuff. Hank Williams also has a version.

  • How old is this song, and who wrote it? I am 80 and remember it as a teenager back in the 1940s. Willie didn't do it until about the 1970s....I'm guessing it goes back to the days of Ted Daffan or earlier. Thanks.
