Compliments to your daughter for remaining so calm! This also proves, once again, how much of an outdoors-y race the Icelandic horse is ;) Mine also doesn't like being indoors, although she doesn't start misbehaving as much...

you're a good rider, that's what I want to say first.
Second, it needs a lot of practice. I had the same with my arabian horse, only that was a little wilder xD
She was also affraid to ride indoor but now she is like she never been affraid. =]

okay..after seeing his other videos, i see that kiljan is just being a butthead in the indoor arena. my ice pony huginn can also be that way.

I would suggest contacting a saddle fitter to help you. What saddle are you usiing?

I would guess he acts this way because his saddle is pinching as this is a typical problem for the wide, mutton withered Icelandic pony.

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't think so, he only does it in the riding house. He has a strong aversion to being ridden indoors! See how good he is (outside) on of my other YouTube videos 'Hanne Rider Kiljan'
