I second that! Think of all the average games that people rave about from the nineties just because they were released on a console. Someone should pick up the bill and dod decent remake. TYRIAN 3D! ALEXANDER BRANDON DOING THE SOUNDTRACK!!

tyrian should get much more attention its seriously best space shooter out there, with one of the best game soundtrack, even final fantasy cant stand chance to this one please i also really want that songs

@IOPhaser Tyrian and Thunder Force IV have become forgotten :D
-
@KaosuKaiari ..implying it even NEEDS to be 3D. Games in the late 90's used 3D renders, and turned them into sprites. Nowadays, we can do the same but on a much more detailed scale.
-
@DeShaadman Hey why not if it stays 2D at core. 3D background on 2D gameplay worked for many shmups and bullet hell shooters. Then again... it's unlikely. Tyrian forever o/

This tune does sound a lot crisper than the original Asteroid Dance 2. Are there more tunes from the Tyrian soundtrack with this sort of arrangement?

@TheStrangeOne42 What I mean is that deviations in the 'track' are the most fun. To see what interesting things the engine interprets out of tempo changes and other significant deviations.

Check out my account for those :D

Are you insane? Tyrian 3D? Way to kill a myth. Make others discover the original Tyrian and revive it so it becomes what it should be: a timeless game! But don't fucking remake it! The guys working on the OpenTyrian are the only ones who did a noble work out of Tyrian since the game itself...
Songs with a straight downward profile like this one are boring and defeat the purpose of audiosurf.

@CosmicBard Do you mean they aren't fun, or that being fun isn't the purpose of Audiosurf? I sure as hell enjoy them :D

FOR GODS SAKE, PLEASE post a video of just the songs themselves from Tyrian.
Camanise, Space Journey Z, all the good ones please.
I'll um be your pal for life :D

I'd rather not reduce my YouTube account to a file sharing service ;)
You'll get better sound quality from the originals than a YouTube encoding anyway, and they're only a Google away. Seriously, I just checked.

I downloaded a ZIP of all the MIDI files from an 'old game music' website quite a long time ago. There are a number of sites like that if you Google around - it shouldn't be too hard to find.
