Once more, Behan wrote at least two great plays ("The Hostage" and "The Quare Fellow"). He also produced essays, memoirs and other pieces that remain well worth reading all these years later.
But Behan, by his own admission, was also a drunk, clearly smashed in this film.
I hope some videos of Behan while sober eventually appear on YouTube --
