how to remove the clutch on a Kawasaki kx 80 mine is a 1986 but the same design is on alot of other years as well. If you use an impact gun be careful not to strip the bolt head. The head on mine was very badly rounded over from the previous owners failed attempt at removing it. Make sure the washers go back in the way they came out and that you put your metal discs between your fiber plates other than that its very simple I made the video because there isn't one I could find on doing this and there are a lot of forums with people struggling to do this.

  • hey i have a 1986 kx 80, I replaced the piston. then two days later it got stuck in one gear and wont make connectionwith the other gears for some reason. what should i do?

  • @sniper2465 I would start by taking the clutch cover off and looking for anything visibly wrong there focusing on around the shift drum. If you cant see anything wrong and still cant get it to move you'll have to pull the motor out and tear it down and split the cases to inspect the transmission if you have any questions about doing that i'll try to answer everything i can i have a cr250 motor that i have torn down right now that i can try and make a basic how to video

  • i bought one of these a very well built bike and its pretty fast but i cant figure out what year it is i think its an 86 but my friend thinks its an 85 or 87 but they all pretty much look the same i cant find many with the strap on the back in between the fender and seat but anyways how do u like the bike

  • @darrengerdude96 It was fun while I had it. For an 80 it really had some get up and go but it was just another one of my projects im rebuilding an xr200 now if you send me the vin# from yours ill look what year it is so you know for sure.
