If you prefer equal amounts of boosted highs and lows, use scandinavian birch :P. or just mainly want boosted lows, try african mahogany o:

You are a good percussionist and builder.

@reygalindo Sorry, no, but there is a vid on my channel showing the inside...

Nice idea very well engineered is it possible to get a cad drawing in pdf format of your design specially the bass pedal. or at least a closer picture of it? Also what is the thickness of the wood you are using on the front panel?
Thanks, Rey.

The simplicity and innovation of this is awesome. I am going to attempt something similar. The video makes it pretty clear but I would pay you for plans.

Great. But you might want to be mindful if your hand position while using the shakers. Bound to bring laughter in the event you ever shake them very aggressively.

Very well done! I understand that this is just "left over wood", but could you tell me what kind of wood? Maple? Birch? regular ply? it sounds great!!
ChrisJColeman 6 months ago
@ChrisJColeman Yep, it's regular plywood. Top, left, right and bottom panel are made of particle board. What gives it that deep base sound is the fact that front and back are both made of 3mm thick plywood.
