This past August (2009), Farah and I took a trip down to Guyana (Farah's native country) which is in the north-eastern portion of South America, just east of Venezuela. A day after we arrived in the capital city of Georgetown, we took a small airplane trip over the jungle and landed on the edge of the savannah that runs adjacent to the jungle. There we stayed several days in an eco friendly resort where we had the chance to visit a native Amerindian village and got to see how the locals lived their lives. We also took a jeep ride into the jungle one early morning where we did a canopy walk up high in the trees. On this trip we got the chance to see some of the wildlife that lives in the jungle. This is only part 1 of our trip that takes you over the jungle to our first destination. I'll have more videos to come of rest of the trip.

I'm going to Guyana in April, going to the falls and the rupinuini (staying at the Karanambu ranch....i would have loved to go to go to the canopy walk, baganara resort but i'm travelling alone.....do you think the canopy/bagnara was a MUST see?
