Brilliant sand gate, and I even enjoyed the ever-arduous statue puzzle. But this segment's 'big break'... I can't believe you skipped what I consider to be one of the most annoying parts of the game! So simply too, I hope I'm not mistaken. Anyhoo, the tower ascension is gonna be schweet

by 'big break' i'm taking that to be the part at 2:02 ... and yes, that normal route is annoying, so this shortcut is wonderful.

Would it not be better to omit the dark prince trick while saving those 6 seconds lost from mis-optimization? It would save you a net 2 seconds.

even without that dark prince trick this segment is very very hard. i almost was at a point of splitting this segment into two, it's that frustrating. but, since it costs about 10 seconds to save, i decided to keep pressing for what i ended up getting.

even if i didn't get the dark prince animation i would probably have kept the segment ... a fully optimized run is just too far out of reach for me. if someone else wants to try and do better, go ahead ... you'll need a lot of luck!! :P

Don't you guys think the house woulda burned down, reduced to ashes and killed all the people inside by now? The whole pulling lever's thing would take too long and just pulling one or two would be enough time for the house to have burned down. Weird eh? I think I might have to get a Persian home.

Great video. The statue puzzle was annoying to me because I couldn't the room layout very well even in landscape perspective to see what was blocking.
