Let's see how YouTube butchers the quality of this video.
I recorded the movie using Source's own tools, outputting a set of TGAs and a WAV file. Then, I opened it in Virtual Dub and saved a lossless AVI using HuffYUV compression in YV12 colorspace. After that I used Avisynth to trim the clips I wanted and x264, NeroAacEnc, and MKVMerge to encode and mux the video for uploading.
