@MegaPoone This is a crappy recording though and not the way the album version sounds. Not why this song is rarely done live however. They played it extensively during the tour for this very album in the mid eighties.

Hate to say it but Bono's singing here sounds like he's drowning in vat of treacle or some other sugary concoction of sorts.Maybe that's why this song is rarely done live..

It's pretty amazing ... I mean, U2 songs seem to start off as these strange, "embryonic" ideas, and then they evolve into the final versions that show up on the albums. But as Bono once said, anybody who makes any kind of art like a song or a film or something, is never truly finished with it or 100% happy with it.
