An "animated" slide show of the moon as it passes through the phases of its 29.5 day cycle. I took the photos over a two year period with a digital camera and 4.5 inch apature telescope. Some photos appear in sequence as taken on consecutive nights. Others in sequence wer taken months or more apart, causing an shifting of the face of the moon east to west and north to south due to the moon's eliptical orbit and varrying distance from earth. The "age" of the moon from its most recent new moon phase is listed for each photo. Thanks to Astronomy magazine columnist Bob Berman for suggesting this "scientific" version of my moon video.
