the reason why people are getting triangled is because they aren't keeping the elbow and knee pushed against each other.. look at the guy who is passing at 00:37 .. his right elbow and right knee are stuck together until he has control over that leg

@AkenoKalei to be honest, there's always a risk of being tapped while passing closed guard. You just need to focus on keeping pressure on their legs, so they can't throw one over and lock a triangle in. I've now gotten to the point where i can pass closed guard, without my rolling partner even knowing whats happening. Just keep remember.. ALWAYS KEEP PRESSURE ON YOUR OPPONENT! Practice, practice, practice!

Looks cool. I'll try it in judo and bjj. I'll let you know how it worked with me.

@yyootrippen If you're doing this right (as shown) you're completely safe from the triangle.

@AkenoKalei i dont think so thats why he puts the knee on his leg

@yyootrippen If you're getting tapped a lot from here you should look carefully at the pressure you are keeping on his legs, both from your legs and arms. There should be no point in this transition through his guard that you are in serious danger of triangle, even against a skilled opponent. Let me know the part you have trouble with.

@DrGreenThumbs1 Watch how I crowd his left leg with my right shin and keep pressure on his legs thru the technique. He shouldn't have any control of his legs while you are passing.
