Tee Martin had a better offensive line and he also had Travis Henry and Travis Stephens. Manning did not have the supporting cast. I love Tee Martin, but he would not have won in '97 either, not against Nebraska.

@tanner9619 yeah...you need to get your facts right. In 1998, Tee Martin was a junior and beat Florida in Knoxville. In 1999 he was a senior, lost to Florida in the Swamp, and was drafted in the 5th round. And technically, Peyton did lead UT to the national championship game, but UT lost to Nebraska.

peyton didnt lead Tennessee to a national championship but his backup did in 1998 TEE MARTIN went undeafted and beat flordia in the swamp and this was in ONE season his senior year i would start him over manning
