Over the weekend of 20/21 February, the East Lancs Railway held its 2nd steam gala of 2010, and thanks are due to Ian Riley and the team in attracting 2 high profile guest locos; 30777 Sir Lamiel and 70013 Oliver Cromwell. The event also marked the welcome return of 71000 Duke of Gloucester, together with 2 other locos from the home fleet -- 44871 and 47324.
Unfortunately I could only attend on Saturday until around lunchtime -- when the sun decided to come out.
brilliant thank you for putting this on so good

i've never seen a loco raise that much steam. maybe the cold has something to do with it?

@MelonHeadFilmz thanks for watching. If you are referring to the opening clip, from what I recall it was a cold morning, but it's also a stiff climb from Bury to Heywood

Of very beautiful images Mike. Without the men in orange vest and cameras, we would imagine at the beginning of the XXth century. Bravo. Philippe

Merci Philippe. Sometimes its hard to avoid hi viz jackets, but the sight of locos and crew working hard makes up for that.
