@macbrack04 Regardless which country produced WW2 Docs, most of the information they have and use are inaccurate and a good example of Historical Inaccuracies of WW2 Events is The History Channel.
@EvilFingers Within the figures mentioned...60'000 airmen 2000 shot down etc 3/4s of those were RAF (incl Polish, Dutch, French, Canadian, Australian, New Zealnd and other nationalities)....Bomber Command Diaries 1939-1945 records 674 RAF airmen killed during raids on Ploesti and buried in cemeteries across eastern europe and the med and north africa.where is the mention in this 'American made' video ? and this Yank view of WW2 (1941-45 for them) is very very commonplace in postwar history.....
By the time the Red Army occupied Romania and the Ploesti oilfields were captured in August 1944, almost 70% of the oilfields were destroyed by the brave airmen of the 15th Air Force.
The only contribution that the RAF offered was the use of their Airfields in Libya, Malta and Cyprus and not a single English Service Man was killed and captured by the Germans, in turn, what more can you ask for?

Their sacrifices were certainly not in vain.
