Looking for an awesome keyblade to be made custom for you? I am currently working on a better method for making Keyblades. If this method succeeds, I will be opening up commissions for Keyblades. If your interested, please visit the link below and drop a comment saying you'd be interested in my commissions.

This is my amazing Star Seeker model that is full-size and was used for my Kingdom Hearts II Sora costume. It is amazing and it is my most prized possession. I received many compliments at Anime Boston 2010 for it and someone even offered me $250 in cash for it! Anyway, this was made of wood. It isn't whole. It was basically fused together with wood glue and epoxy in pieces. Unfortunately, the paint chipped on some of it and the handle snapped. The not so tragic news is that it broke because it was very heavy in the star, so the handle gave. However, the creator is going to be taking it and repairing it. She will also be helping me make an Oblivion and Oathkeeper or a Two Becomes One keyblade for my Roxas costume for next Anime Boston. However, this time we will both be working on it and we will be using "foam" and paper mache. This is a form that she had heard about and I had seen here, so we are gonna try it. I'll keep you all posted on those upcoming projects and feel free to ask as many questions as you want!

So, I've been asked to provide a tutorial for making this (the method used). Because I didn't personally make it, I might be a little bit off. I will talk to the creator and have her write something up. From what I gather:
The first step was printing out the image in full-size. This allowed the image and the details to be traced onto a piece of wood. After the image was traced over, sections of the wood were cut out. The keyblade was cut into segments, not as a whole. After all the segments were out, they were sanded and rounded one by one. Next, the pieces were put together by driving small wooden pegs into previously drilled holes. These pegs connected the pieces and kept them tight together. In addition, an epoxy was used to keep parts fused together. The keyblade was then given two coats of paint and the keychain (made from stretchy string) was attached.
This really isn't that helpful. I'll do my best to put up a step by step tutorial for this later. I will be trying to make a new method/replicate this method on my own while making my Way to Dawn keyblade this summer. I'll shoot some video or take pictures of my progress so I can easily make a tutorial.
As of now, my Star Seeker is fixed. The restoration took about a month, which was no time at all. The keyblade was made out of many different pieces of wood and was put together with wood glue and some wooden "pins", then covered with an epoxy. Apparently what happened was the star and key-part were too heavy for the pins and they gave way. So, she repaired it with steel pins, so we shouldn't have any more problems there.
But what does the other side look like? O.O

@Hawk88991 It's the same on both sides. If you look, it is 3D, not 2D, so it's rounded.
