Diddy Kong Racing Walkthrough Pt 85: Adventure 2 - Sherbet Island Silver Coin Challenges

Whale Bay: Most of the coins here are off the track but aren't "hidden" so to say. The only "hidden" on is on the very front of the ship. Remember you need to use the whale to get up there. Once you nab the coin, make a sharp turn to the right and head back down to the river.

Crescent Island: This course is difficult because half of the coins are in places that you won't see unless you purposely go there. Once you know where the coins are (video obviously reveals all the locations), this race isn't all that bad. Remember to use the Sharp Turn Technique to nab the coins and recover quickly (A + B + R).

Pirate Lagoon: Like Whale Bay, most of the coins here are not hidden. They require some fancy turning, but this course is not hard. The only difficult coin is the one near the end of the course that is floating over the jump. You don't actually need to use the jump to get this one (if you do you'll probably fly right over it anyway). Instead, do what I did in the video: go around the bend, approach the coin, then jump (R) to grab it.

Treasure Caves: Very easy course. Don't forget about the two coins to the left of the rock formation near the pirate ship (just before the cave) and the coin on the extreme right in the final cave.

2 near the islets near the Start... 1 on the bank, 1 in the tunnel, 1 just past the water zipper, 1 on the beach near the ship, 1 in the water near the ship, and 2 on/behind the Blue Balloon jump... 2+1+1+1+1+1+2 = 9? Uhh.. Something's wrong with Pirate Lagoon... Did they give you a one coin leeway? O.o Unless I'm seeing things... Extra coin?

@hikarinoryu There's only one behind the blue balloon jump. I assume you're talking about seeing a second one there when I make the sharp turn on the first lap? That "second" coin you see is the original, it's sticking out over the jump. Just a bit of a perspective trick.

@AagamNM Looking over it again... Argh. You're right... lol. It looked like it was right on top of the jump (with the balloon) when it was really farther out (which I perceived as a second coin)
