Tiger Oscar

Jet, the tiger oscar now resides in my 30 gallon aquarium. Date 11/5/10. He is about 1.75 inches and eats the Hikari cichlid stapel, worms(chopped, and little bits of shrimp and peas. He recently got injured by my catfish very badly the catfish is now i the 20 gallon aquarium. He is recovering well but any tips to speed up the process would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking about getting a JD jack dempsey to be his friend hopefully and thanks for watching
